Clovis Unified kicks off 2011-12 school year with salute to its superhero employees
With the 2011-12 school year set to start next Monday, Clovis Unified employees from all parts of the district will take time out from their busy preparation efforts on Thursday, August 18 to gather in celebration of the new school year. Employees from all 48 Clovis Unified schools and support departments will gather at Selland Arena in downtown Fresno for the annual rally-style event. This year’s general session follows a superhero theme as a tribute to CUSD’s 4,000 superhero employees.
The annual event is designed to inspire and energize employees in time for students’ arrival Monday, Aug. 22. Included in the lively, visual event is a welcome from Clovis Unified’s brand-new superintendent, Janet Young, Ed.D., as well as performances by CUSD students, fun videos and a humorous “man-on-the-street” style trivia game.

WHERE: General Session will take place at Selland Arena in downtown Fresno.
