GRANT WILL KEEP FAMILIES HEALTHY IN CLOVIS UNIFIED

The Foundation for Clovis Schools has been awarded a $9,800 grant from Target Stores to continue Family Wellness Training classes for parents and community members of Clovis Unified. The classes, which help family members communicate effectively and positively with each other, reach approximately 100 family units a year. Representatives from Clovis Unified and the Foundation for Clovis Schools will visit the Clovis Target store Tuesday, July 3 to receive the $9,800 check.

WHAT: The Foundation for Clovis Schools will accept a $9,800 check from Target Stores to support Clovis Unified Family Wellness Training classes. The classes are open to any family unit (including parents, step-families, grandparents, babysitters and anyone else involved in the care-taking of children), and teach communication and conflict management skills. The Target grant will fund classes for trainers in the program, scholarships for families to attend the classes and several training seminars for families this year.
