$10,000 SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED TO BHS SENIOR
Buchanan High School senior, Bryan Mochizuki, isn't worried about $10,000 in college expenses. The Clovis student recently found out he is one of 100 students around the United States named a regional winner in the Toyota Community Scholar Program.
Nationwide, 10,000 applicants vied for the Community Scholar awards, with 100 students chosen as regional winners. Bryan was selected as one of America's best and brightest high school seniors because of his academic and school leadership record combined with extensive community involvement. As a Community Scholar honoree, Bryan will receive a four-year scholarship from Toyota valued at $10,000.
Bryan has also been named the Clovis Exchange Club Student of the Year, winner of a three-year scholarship from the Governor's Scholars Program and the Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship 2003-04 nominee.
